Good book to have on the shelf!

This is a simple yet thorough treatment of various modulation transfer functions that I find very handy. It's full of good information but thin, so it packs nicely in my laptop computer bag for travel. The graphics are well done, and explain topics such as sampling, aliasing, etc. very clearly with a minimum of words necessary. My only wish is that it could have gone into MTF formulas for more complex apertures, such as gridded meshes over truncated circular pupils, phase-stepped apertures, etc. Still, it's an extremely handy and slim, lightweight reference book.

It is a perfect companion for the theoretical " Introduction to Fourier Optics" by J. W. Goodman.
