About the Author
Dwight H. Judy is associate professor of spiritual formation at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. His other books include Christian Meditation and Inner Healing (1991), Healing the Male Soul: Christianity and the Mythic Journey (1992), and Quest for the Mystical Christ: Awakening the Heart of Faith (2003). He lives in Syracuse, Indiana.
Dwight H. Judy is associate professor of spiritual formation at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. Nothing much new here

Very Christian in focus, so it's not really a good read for others except perhaps as a book offering insights into mainstream discernment with scriptural foundations. However, many of the exercises at the end of each section are useful for everyone if one translates some of the Christian-centric language into God-centered relationship.

Reading Dwight Judy's book, Discerning Life's Transitions, was a pleasure from start to finish. No only does he have good information, but he also provides guiding questions and suggestions for group process. An individual can make as effective use of this book, and those who facilitate group processes will find it useful.

Really great book with some helpful thoughts, stories, and exercises for major life transitions. The author gets a little wordy at times, but there are great "sum-ups" at the end of each chapters with some exercises to practice.
